Preperation & Host family & Bye
06:55Preparation
The preparationsI had to do were one of the reasons why I couldn't write any Blogs in the last few days. The last week was very stressful. I had a lot of appointments. I went to the hair dresser, to the dentist, to the optician twice and to the newspaper I mentioned. Unfortunately I was a bit lazy the weeks before, so I had to manage all of them in the last 4 days before my BIG ADVENTURE *-* will start. I also had to clean up my whole room becuase my will take an exchange student for a year, while I'm in Norway. I wish him, my friends and my family all the best :) So I had to pack my suitcase the evening before my flight. Guys do you know how hard it is to pack for a whole year and the you're just allowed to pack maximum 20 kg -.- The saddest thing about this week was the fact that I barely didn't had any time for my friends left. I said the most of them goodbye some days before. But the last evening, when I was finished with packing suitcase, I went the last night out with them.
Host family ;)
I actually didn't expect to get a host family before my flight. I prepared myself for an unknown adventure in Norway. I knew I will fly anyway, even without a host family. If that happens I would spend 2-3 weeks in a "welcome family" after the arrival camp. During that time AFS would search for and real host family. It didn't bother me that much because I had trust in AFS and I heard that it isn't that uncommon. So I was sitting on a hot Thursday in our office preparing my laptop, phone and camera for the exchange year, suddenly I got an E-mail, first I didn't open it because the weeks before I got a lot of E-mails and I always expected them to be from AFS. I got disappointed every time. Then I realized it's actually an E-mail from AFS and it's about my host family <3 The first thing I did was opening Google Earth and looked for my place. I searched for Bodø, closed my eyes, waited a few seconds and opened them carefully and saw it's a big city at the sea in the north of Norway. I started laughing because I realized I knew I will be in the REAL NORWAY<3 with the midnight sun, the Fjords and the northern lights. I was sooooooooooooo relieved, nervous excited and happy at the same time *_* The family members are: Miriam (host mother, 47), Christian (host brother, 15) and Ingrid (host sister, 18). I got in contact with them. They seemed to be really nice and gave me a boost of confidence.
