Stage & Announcement & Uncertainty (18 days...)
13:10Stage
First of all I wanted to write about my current situation. I was in the
"Stage". That is a 4 weeks long enduring exchange in a family in the
west of Switzerland, demanded by school. Everybody in the 10th grade had to do
a "Stage". Designated is the last week before summer vacations and
the remaining 3 weeks during the summer vacations itself. The most of the
students weren’t that motivated and excited to do one. I passed a great time in
my family, we did lot of activities. I really enjoyed it. I actually saw this
as an opportunity to test myself before my year abroad with a small exchange.
But the main reason I explain this, is because I want to know you people out
there ;) that it was difficult for me to have a weekly schedule at the moment.
I hope when I’m in Norway and I've settled in for the most, I can have a weekly
schedule.
Announcement
Next point in my blog is a little announcement for you. I got asked by a
teenage magazine called 4-teens, if I want to write monthly an article from
Norway for them. I was pretty excited because years ago I read this magazine
myself. On the other side I was also a bit shaky because my German orthography
and spelling isn't that good. They reassured me, when they told me that a
proofreader will read every text before it will appear in the magazine.
Uncertainty
The last things I want to talk about are my feelings. I'm very
uncertain, excited and a bit nervous because I still haven't a family at the
moment. I ask myself many questions like "Will I get along with my
family?" or "Will I integrate myself in the school fast and will I
find friends quickly?"But I think I'm not the first exchange student, who
asks himself this kind of questions. On the other side the "Stage"
really reassures me because I realized I do quite well in these four weeks in a
different family :)
See you!
Ti
